Sophie holds an MFA in Poetry from Boston University, and has published poems in The Literary Review, The Spoon River Poetry Review, and AGNI Online, among other small presses. She lives in Chicago where she writes poetry reviews for Publishers Weekly and works for an early childhood care and education advocacy organization. 

Sophie is the author of two chapbooks: City Structures, published by Damask Press and Waiting for the Exterminator. She was a finalist for the 2018 New Issues Poetry Prize and Waywiser Press's 2024 Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize.
